Circles animations

Today marks 6 months since the release of Circles! And to celebrate this little half year anniversary, I'm releasing an animated video of each track from the album on the 21st of every month for the next four months. These animations were created by William Marler using Sofia Bergvall's beautiful cover art, and were premiered at the Circles album launch on June 19th 2019. Kaleidoscope

On Friday 26th January 2018, my new string quintet Souq was premiered at the Kaleidoscope concert in Birmingham UK. Kaleidoscope is a project that brings together composers and performers in weekly workshops where we explore different approaches to improvisation. Over the course of 5 months, each composer developed a piece for the ensemble as a result of these workshops. The pieces do not only explore improvisation, but also draw on elements of folk music, allowing each composer to bring a personal touch to the music.
